Two of the much awaited sequels,Kung Fu Panda 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean 4, were both released last month.I was extremely excitted about both.I found Kung Fu Panda 2 better than the original one,it was simply hilarious, not a moment of boredom, the concept was unique, the jokes were different than the original one.The reviews of the Kung Fu panda 2 were great.People seemed to enjoy it as much i did.Though alot said it really scared their children because there was alot more violence in the second part.
"My 11 yr old really liked the movie, however my 6 year was pretty scared,"said vahsing a parent of two children.
"My kids and I just saw this movie yesterday in 3D. It is wonderful!!,"said Paratrooper a parent of a 7 and 5 year old.
Most viewers objected to violence and the concept of adoption.I wanted to see Pirates of Caribbean 4 but my sister told me it wasnt good.Though the reviews i just saw are mixed:
"Depp, grimacing, edges in and out of the action and seems irrelevant and bored most of the time,"said one of the viewers
"Pirates 4 a worthy adventure,"said another.
On the basis that the Pirates of the Carribean 4 seemed to have more bad reviews than Kung Fu Panda 2 one can conclude that Kung Fu Panda 2 is better than Pirates of the Carribean 4.Kung Fu Panda 2 offers fun, comedy, laughter while Pirates Of the Carribean sounds gloomy, dark and scary.I would recommend you all to see Kung Fu Panda 2.

CAVE(RESTAURANT)
A restaurant in islamabad was recommended again again to me by my sister.According to her they had the most amazing steaks EVER.So one day me and my brother decided to check it out.It is located in the east side of islamabad in pakistan. It looks like a cave too,the menu is different and has alot of variety. The service is excellent.Another thing that i would suggest for u to do is to have CHICKEN steaks not the beef ones.Cave is also more on the expensive side but they also give student discounts and on certain days and timings one could get special discounts.
it
It is a restaurant where one could bring their friends,or family,or their spouses.Though the dimly lit candles and soft music give more of a romantic feeling. The environment is awesome and the service is commendable and dont forget to try the super nachos as appetizers.i would give this restaurant four n half stars simply because i loved its EVERYTHING.

How Osama`s death was taken in Pakistan
While i was in Pakistan Osamas death took place.Though he died in Pakistan nobody in Pakistan really took this piece of news seriously probably because they never really believed he died and how can one be sure that Osama really was killed when the American Government didnt give any proof of his death, one question that rises again and again in my mind is that why didnt they show his body?.This question really puts a seed of doubt in ones mind.So pretty much everybody took this as everyday news and moved on with their lives.

Weddings of Pakistan
Traditional weddings of Pakistan have altogther four functions but its not an obligation to have all four functions one could either have more or less.Lets start with Maiyoon.Maiyoon is a small family function, you invite all your close relatives and friends. The bride has to wear a yellow dress and a long braid.Basically in maiyoon all relatives dance and party. The next function is mehndi, some people have two mehndis, one from the guys side and one is from the girls side but many just have a combined mehndi.Mehndi is other name for henna, and on this function the bride puts henna one her hands.mehndi is also one of the favorite function among many people because all the dances are done on this day,and everybody has to join in the dance.Baraat comes next.Barat is the main function, that is when the bride and groom get married.A Moula asks the girl three times if she would marry the guy and on her approval the moula gets her signature and the same is done with the guy.Atfer this is completed all the relatives give the couple congrats and take pictures. The last function is Walima. This is organised by the guys family and basically its the time when everyone gives the couple their blessings and wishes them a bright future.Though pakistani weddings are long and exhausting, they have their own charm and guarantee full time entertainment

consequences of radiations
Havoc has broken loose for the people of Japan. One of the biggest concern Japan has is health. How to make sure that the food hasnt been contaminated?or that the peoples health is in no danger? The fear of radiation poisoning looms over the head of the people of Japan.According to Dr Jennifer Aston people need to limit their exposure near nuclear reactors, keep distance from the source of radiation, and also shield yourself..She said that the radiations could damage the division of cells, thyroid, and most probably develop into leukemia.
Shoppers are also concerned about the food contamination and the effects of radiation on it.People are trying to avoid anything that comes from the ocean.According to the World Health Organization food contamination is alot more serious than it was first expected.Japan has stopped the sales of spinach and raw milk near the damaged areas. The contamination of food is a great stress for Japan as it puts the health of people in danger

Tsunami in Japan
On March 11, 2011, an earth quake struck Japan, a devastating tsunami that passed over cities and farmland in the northern part of the country and set off warnings as far away the west coast of the United States and South America. Recorded as 9.0 on the Richter scale, it was the most powerful quake ever to hit the country. As the nation struggled with a rescue effort, it also faced the worst nuclear emergency explosions and leaks of radioactive gas took place in three reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station . Japanese officials turned to increasingly desperate measures, and the earthquake also threaten to hit Hawaii.More than 9500 people have been yet reported as dead whereas 1600 missing. The Japanese have decided to import the water bottles as the water could be contaminated with radio active iodine and could be harmful for the infants. The destructive radiations could be severe and harmful to not only present generation but also to the upcoming generations as well.

"Bullying"
Bullying is what many people, especially students experience. It isnt something pleasant infact just a way to make the others feel inferior.Mocking somebody, teasing them, poking fun at them, all comes in bullying. Some people might forget these times of bullying while these childish, immaturish acts can carry serious consequences for some.It affects their life in such a way that their never able to come out of the shadows of inferiority. The high school moments become an endless nightmare for them and spend their lives thinking the world is full of cruel predators and there is no place for them.Nowdays bullying is an everyday occurence, youll see students harrasing a new student or even teachers getting bullied by the students. What i believe is that one should never ignore the ones who bully you or run away from them, one should talk back and treat them like they treat you and theyll know youre no coward and theyll themselves stop bothering you.Learn to defend yourself and fight for yourself when need.President Obama was right when he said that one should always look for the best in others and always put yourself in the others shoes, just because one isnt like you, doesnt justify bullying infact nothing does.

"why monogamy matters"
Yes,monogamy matters. It is seen in research studies that people who opt for causal sex are more likely to develop depression especially females.Monogamy provides a stability in a relationship that is absent in a causal sex I am not stating that all premarital sex leads to emotional downfall and unsteady relationships but individuals that get to know and care each other before sex, have a much better outcome. This is the basic reason that monogamy results in much more lasting and satisfied relationship then one outside of marriage and of causal sex. I feel that it is much healthier for oneself to actually wait for someone that one actually cares.

PORTFOLIO ASSESSMENT:
My 5 best posts are

A) WESTWARD EXPANSION: This post is about US history. It is about how westward expansion started and affected the Native Americans. As I am new in this country, I don’t know a lot about US history so I thought that writing a post like this would be intellectually challenging. This post provides information about a very major event of the history hence I listed it one of my 5 best blogs.
Monday, January 17, 2011
B) GOLDEN GLOBES (RED CARPET): This post was about the golden globe awards which were recently held on Sunday, January 16th.i showed the red carpet, simply because I love to see what the celebrities were wearing. This post could give the viewers a quick summary of who looked the best and the worst.

C) AN INTRODUCTION TO PAKISTANI FOOD: this post is about Pakistani recipes. Recipes are given in the post and are easy n quick to make. The viewers can enjoy Pakistani food all for free.

D) BIG BANG THEORY: This comic serial has people rolling over their stomachs with laughter. It is about four scientists and a girl, Penny who lives next to them. This is one of my and many people’s favorite sitcoms and that’s I choose this as one of my best posts.
Friday, December 17, 2010
E) SUBWAY HERO: This post is about a man who saves a handicapped as the handicapped fell at the subway tracks. Heroic figures like this are admired and appreciated and forever remembered, and they deserve to be written about from time to time.
My biggest strength is that I write about different situations, discuss scenarios and evaluate every aspect of what I’m writing.i try to be precise and get to the point so the readers know what I’m talking about. My biggest weakness perhaps is that I might not be able to stick to one topic alone.i like to talk about different things and get bored if I’m am to stick to one topic. My blogs show that I have the tendency to do better and will learn and make the best of whatever that is given to me. As I writer I’m consistent and write to my hearts consent.

WESTWARD EXPANSION
In the years between 1763 and 1890, what began as thirteen British colonies clinging to the eastern seaboard of North America expanded into a sprawling independent nation that stretched 3,000 miles from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. The story of the westward expansion of the United States is at once a romantic saga of human accomplishment and a tragic account of human cruelty. The steady march of American settlement into the West created national heroes and helped define the national character. Mountain men, miners, explorers, pioneers, cowboys, and outlaws lived such colorful and independent lives that their exploits continue to be celebrated in fiction and in film into the twentieth-first century. Many historians maintain that the process of settling the West—carving farms and communities out of the wilderness, surmounting tremendous odds to move whole families across the sprawling continent—made this nation's inhabitants more resourceful, independent, and rugged than their European forebears. In the romantic version of the settling of the West, stalwart pioneers carved their chosen land from a howling wilderness, building the most powerful nation in the world in the process.
However, from the perspective of the Native Americans who inhabited North America for thousands of years prior to white settlement, the westward expansion of the United States looks decidedly unromantic. Though there were wide variations among American Indian cultures, they shared a bond with the natural world and a sense that land could be used but not owned. The Indians were ill-prepared—culturally and biologically—to deal with the impact that Europeans would have on their lives. Diseases carried to the continent by Europeans took a terrible toll on Indian populations even before colonial British settlers began encroaching on Indian lands. As the colonies freed themselves from British rule and settlers pressed farther west, clashes with the Native Americans occurred more frequently. Indians were depicted as hostile and ignorant savages and whites did not hesitate to take Indian land and kill Native Americans who resisted. By the 1830s it had become official government policy to drive the Indians from land desired by white settlers. For more than a century, Americans waged relentless war on Indian populations, killing men, women, and children in their quest to rid themselves of what they called "the Indian menace." By the end of the nineteenth century, Native Americans who had survived the Indian Wars were no longer free to roam the land but were confined to reservations. To the native inhabitants of the continent, westward expansion was an utter disaster.

After her devastating split from Tony parker, the actress looked stunning on the golden globes.Wearing a Zac Posen black dress she couldnt look anymore poised and elegant.
ANGELINA JOLIE:
Hollywood's royal couple Jolie and Pitt are due to make an appearance in honor of her best actress nod for the torist and Jolie can always be counted on to cut a stunning figure on the red carpet. thankfully the tourist star abandoned white and chose to wear sparkling green.she looked amazing and the dress completely shimmered on her. This was one of the best dresses of the evening.
HEIDI KLUM:
The project runway host and supermodel walks the red carpet like the pro she is in a draped, striped halter dress and sexy red platform sandals – both by Marc Jacob – with Lorraine Schwartz diamond and wood bangles.though she was said to have looked nice,i dont agree.the project runway glamour queen could have done way better than this.

math research
Math research is the worst thing ever especially if you are a computer illterate. In math research we have to work on computers instead of practicing mathematical problems. For the people who dont know alot about computers this task is perplexing and the students are lost therefore do not get high scores. This seems really unfair and unjust.the respected teachers should encourage and teach the students how to work on a computer rather than leaving them to work individually.

Fashion trends of 1961s
The popularity of the Beatles brought the international spotlight to England and many adopted the Mod style of mop hair and Edwardian cut jackets, while the Rolling Stones presented an edgier street chic. Londoner Mary Quant had opened her boutique Bazaar in the 50s, and started designing clothing in the 60s when she couldn’t find what she wanted to appeal to the young. She is credited with creating the miniskirt, which was an instant hit with girls who didn’t want to dress like their mothers.
The flapper dress of the 20s is somewhat similar to the 60s mini. Both garments skimmed the body, without revealing the underlying curves, and both were youthful fashions that would be adopted by older women. But the flapper wanted a boyish figure and male privileges, while the 60s girl was rejecting the conformity of her corset-clad mother. The simplicity of the mini dress was in direct contrast to the constructed dresses, body shaping underwear and spike heels of the 50s.
